We accept cash, money
orders and travelers checks only.
We no longer accept
credit cards, debit cards or personal checks.
Full payment must be made
before a ceremony begins!
No exceptions.
Payment of Retainer:
We require the payment of a retainer for the
official booking of a ceremony. The retainer is an initial payment of a
portion of the total price of the ceremony or ceremony package. The
minimum retainer payment is $100.
Couples who come to The White Rose Chapel
for a consultation appointment to discuss, arrange for or consider the
booking of a ceremony are encouraged to be prepared to pay a retainer at
that time, if they have decided to retain the services of The White
Rose.
Couples who choose to retain our services
from a distance (e.g., couples from out of town or out of state planning
to come to Colorado for their ceremony) may pay their retainer, or make
full payment, by mailing a money order at least two weeks prior to
the ceremony.
Exceptions to the requirement for a retainer
payment may be made at our discretion, e.g., in cases where we have been
retained by an out-of-town couple for a ceremony that is scheduled to
occur too soon for the check-mailing procedure. Such exceptions will be
handled on a case-by-case basis.
If for any reason a couple decides to hire
us but cannot pay a retainer at that time, an unofficial booking will be
held for 3 business days only. The payment of a retainer must be firmly
arranged with The White Rose for the unofficial booking to be held
beyond that time. (NOTE: There is no set amount of time before a
scheduled ceremony that a booking must be made; we frequently book
ceremonies on short notice. However, the availability of any particular
date and time depends on our schedule and retained bookings; and a
couple risks not having their chosen time continue to be available as
long as their retainer has not been paid.)
If a ceremony booking is cancelled for any
reason by the client couple, the retainer is non-refundable (but we will
be glad to apply it to a re-scheduled booking). If the balance had been
paid in full, or if a retainer of more than $100 had been paid, the
amount over $100 may be refunded to the client couple, at the discretion
of The White Rose.
Payment of Balance Due:
Occasionally, couples choose to pay off the
balance due (i.e., the remainder of the total fee, after the
down-payment retainer has been paid) in several installments. This is
not a problem, subject to the requirements stated (above and below).
The balance due is payable two weeks (14
days) prior to the scheduled date of the ceremony. The balance may
be paid by cash, money order or travelers check.
